Dear Emma,

I'm sorry I didn't answer your email right away. We've been waiting for some good weather so we could work outside, and the last couple of days have been real nice, so we've been busy and tired when we get done at the end of the day!

It was such a nice surprise to hear from you today. You can drop me a note on skype any time you feel like it. I may not be there at the time, but I will get your note when I get back.

I'm very proud of you for making it into the conservatory already. I know you will learn a lot, and enjoy it too. I'll look forward to hearing you on the flute now. It's been a long time since I've heard you.

Will had a fun birthday party. He is four years old now, and very cute. I hope you like the video. Here's a picture of Jon. He looks so grown up now, with a mustache, and he is six feet tall! Almost as tall as your Daddy, and taller than me. But he still likes to do funny kid things (as you can see from the picture). He's always had a wacky sense of humor, hasn't he?

It would be fun to have you read stories to me for a change, Emma. If you feel like doing that, I'm sure you and your Dad can find a way to get them to me. Maybe your Daddy could set up a youtube page like I have, and he could put them on the internet. We'll see.
